“From the outside it looks like an old timey 1950’s hotel. However, the rooms and bathrooms have been totally redone inside and they’re beautiful. Would stay again. A hidden gem. A Few good restaurants not far down the street, too. ”

“Lovely renovated building with completely up-to-date rooms. Breakfast was excellent: cheese eggs, grits, apple cinnamon oatmeal, blueberry mini muffins, cinnamon raisin toast, bagels, yogurt with real fruit, and whole fresh fruit. Way more than you would expect at your usual hotel continental breakfast. We took a stroll around the historic grounds and sat by the New River for a bit. “This property is stunningly beautiful. A wedding venue with lovely lodging. Super comfortable bed in a nice room. Nothing negative to say. We were the only couple in the building until about bedtime and someone else came in. We heard them arrive to the room next door, and no noise after that. The town of Staunton is also a sweet, contemporary mountain town. Do stay here if you get the chance. ”

“We really loved the personal touches Michelle and Jim provided from check in to check out. They were so welcoming and willing to accommodate our large party and anything extra we might need. The rooms were spotless and beds were comfy with clean towels and linens. The mini fridge was plenty big enough for us as was the microwave. We did not get a chance to enjoy the nightly firepit fires as we were mostly fatigued from riding our motorcycles but Jim was willing to start one if we wanted. Next...

“Lovely respite. Comfortable cottage with three beds (two bedrooms) and one bathroom, plus view of a picturesque pastoral scene: a field of green grass, white fence, a friendly dog who politely asks to play ball if you like (and leaves you alone if you don’t), and the occasional mooing of the cows in the distance.
