“The location was very clean and peaceful. The property management were very responsive.”

They've compiled a binder with just about everything you need to know about the island, the area, restaurants, etc. The cottage feels like home, and it's proximity to the York River provided lovely views, as well as a wide array of birds, from eagles to osprey to herons and more. The cottage was so comfortable that we didn't even mind being rained in for a day. ”

“The pictures don’t do justice for how beautiful this place was the views was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay there. There is nothing like having your morning coffee on the porch while watching deer graze not even bothered by you. We met the owners and they were very nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommend! The only regret I have is not booking more days here. ”

“This bungalow exceeded my expectations! Comfortable clean and well stocked home in a great location. Would stay here again ”

“We enjoyed the location as we were mainly visiting Shenandoah National Park and it was an easy drive to one of the entrances, at Thornton's Gap. That being said, there were also things to visit and do in Luray like the Luray Caverns- a must see. The cottage was clean and well suited for our needs as we cooked dinner meals a few nights during our stay. Having the fire pit and outdoor area for the evening was a bonus. The hosts communicated quickly. ”

“My Service Dog Javier and I enjoyed our stay at Misty Blue. The house was lovely, with cool artistic touches throughout. I love older homes, and this one has been very well maintained.Although I did not cook in the kitchen, it was well supplied with everything one might need. The house is located in a great area and I walked everywhere.”

“Not only is the property immaculate, but it's charming and situated in a beautiful neighborhood. The owners ensured everything one might need is available, and the decor is spotless and lovely.The hosts were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely return. “This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return!”

“Very nice quiet cabin in the Shenandoah valley. Perfect location while we were in town for a wedding. The cabin --could-- sleep 4, but be advised the upper bedroom is accessed only w a steep, long ladder. It's not a good sleeping place if you're bringing children. But for the two of us it was perfect.”

“The stay was lovely- just a reminder to check the single cup coffee maker.Cottage is well equipped with anything you can imagine. Food in refrigerator over the top, thank you. Wonderful stay! Thank you!”

“The home was perfect and was in a great spot. I enjoyed the walk to Yorktown, the history, and plus the food. If you get a chance make sure you go Farmers market on Saturday’s. Nice walk and there was some amazing things at the farmers market. ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay at the little blue house. It is well furnished with a completely equipped kitchen. Peaceful water views. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds. Easy access to White Stone, Kilmarnock and Urbanna. We took advantage of getting take out at The River Market in White Stone and Something Different in Urbanna. Forrest was VERY responsive. All in all….a great stay. ”
