“This cottage and garden are so lovely and inviting. I didn't bother with downtown (I've been many times) because it was more pleasing to just relax at the property. Give yourself a gift and stay here.”

“We were impressed with the coziness, relaxing atmosphere forever views of the ocean and Monastery Beach and all the amenities that you will need in a small place. Very comfortable, quiet and secure. Close to hiking trails, commercial malls like the Barnyard, gas stations and a short drive to Carmel Point, Scenic Drive, Carmel Beach and Ocean Ave shopping and fabulous restaurants. “Cute little place! 30 minutes from San Francisco Pier 39 area. We easily got an Uber for travel. Nice neighborhood with a market within a 15. walk. Definitely enjoyed the stay here! Note: the bathroom door knob needs updated. If you shut the door all the way. You get locked in the bathroom and cannot get out. ”

“The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.”

“My husband and I had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! The pictures on this site are accurate and thorough but do not do it justice. We can’t oversell the proximity to the ocean! We could watch and hear the waves from our room and from the cliffside chairs overlooking the ocean. And if you want to get even closer, it’s a short walk to be on the beach, which has limited access. We walked to the beach several times and we were the only ones there.The bed was so comfortable, and we...

“Unfortunately, my party wasn't up for the 20 minute walk into town so it didn't really serve my ideal of being close ish to everything but it still was lovely. The back deck was perfect for impromptu dance party for the 4 of us (hahahah) and card games. ”
