“The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.”

“Beautiful cottage which worked well for our "Family"( we travel with our 3 Golden Retrievers). Bedroom fireplace was wonderful at night! Easy walk down the street to a small park for the dogs....Great location and Bill was very helpful! We will return!Thank You Bill for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage!”

“We were impressed with the coziness, relaxing atmosphere forever views of the ocean and Monastery Beach and all the amenities that you will need in a small place. Very comfortable, quiet and secure. Close to hiking trails, commercial malls like the Barnyard, gas stations and a short drive to Carmel Point, Scenic Drive, Carmel Beach and Ocean Ave shopping and fabulous restaurants. We will comeback, planning our next stay! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage!”

“Unfortunately, my party wasn't up for the 20 minute walk into town so it didn't really serve my ideal of being close ish to everything but it still was lovely. The back deck was perfect for impromptu dance party for the 4 of us (hahahah) and card games. ”

“Enjoyed the electric fire and coffee bar along with comfortable beds and a beautiful updated tile shower! Wish the weather had been better to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces! Just a very short drive from all the tourist areas… Would stay here again in a heartbeat! ”

“We had a delightful stay. The owners could not have been more kind or accommodating. There was a rain and heavy wind storm during our stay and the property lost power. The owners bent over backwards to make sure we had light and were comfortable. The property itself is gorgeous and we had everything we needed in the guest cabin, which was new and modern with high ceilings and four glass doors to view the garden and gorgeous cypress trees. “Cleaned everything except sheets and was charged extra for not washing sheets ( stripped bed and left sheets in tub with towels as per hotels ) but no washer and dryer. 4pm checkin and 10am checkout seems like the host is prioritizing the cleaning crew over the guests. Instructions mention cottage although the room appears to be a half carport walled in under a house.”
