“Guys running it were friendly and happy to help. It is in a good location just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. Very dog friendly and it was obvious both guys loved dogs. Ðogs can go into dining area with you so no worries about leaving them in room. Gluten free breakfast available along with oat milk if required. ”

“Bed was too small and extremely hard. I was greeted by a wonderful helpful lady called Maya and thanks to her the stay was a bit more pleasant, but hotel is very runned down and noisy.”

“My second stay at Rickerby Grange. This time I stayed in single room which was comfy and quiet as there were no other rooms through the walls. I had a really good night sleep. Bathroom was next door and it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was tasty. I’ll definitely stay there again. ”

“It was clean and well presented, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, fairly spacious with a most excellent shower. We missed breakfast the first morning due to taking part in an event, but found they had left us some bananas and apples for us. We had the full breakfast the next day which was spot on. And they have their own parking spots for 4 cars! Definitely will use again , as we had a lovely stay. ”

“A lovely old building in a beautiful setting with views of Derwentwater and the mountains. The staff very friendly and efficient. We have stayed here several times and will again in the future.The dog was welcome too!”

“We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again. ”

“The rooms are located on the floor above the public bar and eating areas. You can book an evening meal if required. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with no disturbance. Nice breakfast served by friendly staff.”
