“The property was well located right on the front in the village and the view was fantastic as was the peace and quiet. There was plenty of room with a big bed, which although a little firm for us was still very nice. The bathroom was huge with a free standing bath and the sitting area had a really comfy sofa, fridge and dining table. The village itself has two places to eat and the food was really good.”

“Such a great room, especially with a dog. We had a door straight out in to a lsmall beer garden. Absolutely huge shower & extra large room were great too. Extremely good value room & very quiet. We also ate there on the evening & food was really good, all home made & a cheesecake to die for. We were doing a charity walk nearby at Buttermere on the Sat so it was perfectly positioned for us. “Very nice country pub with excellent beer and nice atmosphere. Don't expect 4 star hotel rooms but then you don't pay anything close to 4 star hotel prices! My room was clean, comfortable and all you need for an overnight stay. The food was OK but could improve a bit - the fish was over-battered, the chips not fully cooked. The full English breakfast the next morning was fine. The only gripe was that the young staff woke me up at 01-30 chatting and laughing out the back of the pub, right...
