“This home is amazing. A perfect spot for our family gathering. Main bedroom on the ground floor, for those who don’t do well with stairs. 3 bedrooms upstairs with tons of closet space. Separate apartment downstairs with full bath & kitchen. There’s a loft where our teenagers hung out. This home is outfitted with everything you need to cook meals & enjoy visiting with friends/family. A quick stroll will get you to the beach. Owner was very communicative & accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet too! I want to share one small complaint—the communication left much to be desired. The property is in a remote location up beautiful, winding mountain roads. “We loved our stay at this property along the canal in Capitola. It was just right for my husband, our daughter , her husband and their newborn baby. “Aside from a few outdated listing pictures of the cottage, the experience was pretty magical. Location was perfectly situated between Carmel and Monterey. Access to property was seamless and the host was probably the most interesting man in the world. He was there only when we needed and got to share some great stories. “The view alone is worth staying here. We had both back doors open any time we were there. The layout is perfect for enjoying the sound of the waves and the view of the sunset. The house is also perfectly located for being able to do day trips to San Francisco or Big Sur. If you are looking for a place to stay that is cozy and has amazing views you found it.”

“The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.”

“We had a small family reunion here for 2 nights. The main house is nice and spacious, very clean and functional. The bunkhouse is located upstairs and some of the beds are in the loft, up a ladder. Beds were very comfy. Pool is nice, unfortunately it was too cold for us to enjoy. Lots of games and just a beautiful, peaceful property to enjoy family time. ”

“Corola the property manager was amazing. The power had gone out in the area right before we got there, she was going to get us lanterns but it came back on so we called and let her know. Unfortunately the power only stayed on for 15 mins and then went back out the rest of the night. We disnt want to bother Corola to come out with the hope the power would come back on. Overall the property is very nice and bed was comfortable. Will need to visit again so we can really enjoy it more with power...
