A Nightmare Stay in Punta Cana – Avoid This Property!
Our vacation in Punta Cana was ruined by the unprofessionalism and incompetence of the property management.
We arrived on December 23rd at 3 AM, after informing the property management days in advance of our late arrival. They provided us with an access code, but it didn’t work. I called and messaged the property manager and even reached out to Expedia’s customer support, but no one responded.
Imagine being stranded in a foreign country, late at night, with two exhausted children. My kids were so tired that they lay down on the floor while I desperately tried to contact someone. The security staff also tried to help by calling the property manager, but it was all in vain. After two hours of frustration and failed attempts, we had no choice but to find a hotel for the night.
The next morning, I finally reached the property manager. He arrived at 9 AM, confirmed the code didn’t work, and offered no apology. Instead, he rudely told us we could leave if we didn’t like the situation. This was the last thing we needed to hear after a sleepless night and such a distressing start to our trip.
The problems didn’t end there:
Internet: There was no internet initially, and even when it was finally set up, it was painfully slow and unreliable.
Facilities: The kitchen exhaust fan was broken, the shower in the master bedroom didn’t drain, and exposed electrical outlets posed a serious safety hazard for children.
