Honestly, I was looking forward to our stay at this ‘Sunny Memphis Home’.
Upon arrival I was shocked. The pictures make it look like this house is in a peaceful neighborhood on a larger piece of property with a big front and back yard. It’s actually a home, on the size of a city lot, in a very sketchy neighborhood. Very deceiving. I did not feel safe there. I was even warned by a local to not walk the street! It’s very unsafe. Told us there are shootings that happen in this area. We heard gun shots close by a few nights during our stay and there and cars with loud music pulling up late at all times of the night.
Hospitality could have been better too. The exterior of the house needs a power wash job. It was dirty and spiderwebs all over it. You can tell the house is new but not taken care of. The walls look like someone rubbed all over them. Dirty smudges, handprints and smears on all of the walls. We sanitized and wiped things down.
I got confirmation there would be a blow dryer so I didn’t have to pack one and there was not one. There were no hand towels for bathrooms, only 3 washcloths and 3 coffee mugs, and not enough silverware and plates for a house that sleeps 6 people. We had to go by the rest of these items for our stay.
Also, the remote for the living room tv was missing.
I would recommend putting hooks in the bathrooms for used bath towels and a new shower curtain rod. It’s just resting on top of the tile and fell twice during our stay.
