“Let me start off by saying we absolutely loved this cabin. The cabin as a whole was great. However, they should probably consider getting a different cleaning crew. The fans all had cob webs and very thick dust. There were dead bugs hanging in the stairwell to the basement. The downstairs bunk and sleeper sofa are basically in the garage. While that wasn't a huge deal, it should probably be thrown out there. The hot tub was perfect. The bunk beds squeaked with every movement and were not at all...

“The cabin was perfect for the two of us and our dog. Enjoyed sitting on the screen porch listening to the creek as it rushed by. Cabin was clean and well equipped.”

“I stayed here while day hiking for three days at Doughton Recreation Area. The location was just 20 minutes from all trail heads and 20 minutes from Sparta for if you want to go out for dinner. Very comfortable queen bed. I will definitely stay again when I revisit Doughton.”

“Well furnished and beautifully decorated. No dishwasher. Steep steps for older folks and very small shower. Enjoyed our stay. ”

“The cabin was fantastic. It was clean and well stocked. The view was great. The bath house was clean. I only have two complaints. The bath house was up a very steep hill. That needs to be included in the description as I’ve had a knee injury and wasn’t prepared for the very steep climb about 100 yards to the bath house. And the heater didn’t work. We could get the pilot light on but it wouldn’t stay on when switching to a heating mode. The cabin is clearly new so just small things to update....

“This house was very nicely outfitted with just about anything you could need. It was cozy and comfortable and met our needs very well. The kitchen had all you needed to cook a meal down to measuring cups & spoons. Streaming services and lots of movies. Nice yard with fire pit. We loved the gas fireplace. If you sit on the porch at night, you can hear a creek or stream moving, so peaceful. Short drive to West Jefferson and Sparta.”
