“We stayed for a weekend family celebration and everyone agreed that it was a perfect place to accommodate such a diverse age range. The house is old and rather magnificent, if somewhat faded in its glory. It comfortably fitted 15 of us, including a 4 year old. There is plenty of space in the living and dining areas, plus an old bar with seating for quite a few. The general area is beautiful, with lovely walks and there is a wonderful view from the garden, where there is also seating and tables....

The house is spectacular and full of old world historical charm and had been decorated with a Christmas tree and garland making it truly festive. There is the most wonderful dining room where we ate our holiday meal and played dinner games with a raging fire burning in the 1500s fireplace. “Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet, das Wohnzimmer sehr hell mit direktem Zugang zur Terrasse und dem riesigen Garten. Es liegt sehr ruhig, der Supermarkt ist dennoch in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.”

“Very nice indeed. The only slight negative was the steep staircase that would need to be navigated from bedroom 3 and 2 upstairs if the bathroom was needed in the night. We had 2 small children who could use the master bedroom so ok. Otherwise very comfortable and well stocked. But I was worried about the Aga but found there was an electric oven as well.”
