It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.”

“We loved this property. The inside is spacious for 2 people and well appointed, with very comfortable beds, nice linens, heated marble floors in the bathroom and a decently equipped kitchen. The outside area includes a huge deck, a lovely garden with roses and lavender, a clean modern hot tub and view of the Santa Lucia mountains. Jae and Bob were friendly and helpful (allowing us to recharge our PHEV) but not at all intrusive. We hope to return another time. ”
