“The idea of staying in the lighthouse cottages appealed. The Caretakers cottage was not as old as the others but suited us as a couple with just the one bedroom in use. Everything was there that you needed with the heater keeping the place cosy. Cereal, eggs, bacon etc were provided for breakfast. The TV reception was poor, maybe due to the wind and maybe this was keeping the animals away as we only saw one kangaroo and no wombats despite the copious poo ! Would have loved to stay another night.”

“I was greeted my a lovely lady that works there. I was able to leave my bags before check in to explore the city. My room was very spacious, bed was comfortable and it was nice to take a hot bath after a long day of travel. If you’re looking for something historic, that has a pub in the lobby, and for a comfortable stay in the heart of Sydney then this is it! ”

“Beautifully renovated rooms, clean and family friendly. We travelled with two young children, and it was perfect. Onsite cafe which opens early, and a bistro/pub but I’m not sure on the opening hours. The food was good, lovely dining area set up with fireplaces, which keep it nice and warm. ( if travelling in winter or during cold weather) They have a pool and plenty of parking. A short distance up the road is a petrol station, which you can hire snow chains and has also a little convenient...

“I always stay in a room overlooking the river and find them quieter than the rooms facing the road. Always clean. Rooms are a very good size. Staff are always friendly. I always stay here when in Dalby. ”
