“Bear Haven was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the wonders of Lake Tahoe in the winter. I really appreciated that you thoughtfully provided a well-stocked kitchen and beautiful bedrooms. ”

“The emailed info on the property listed the pool and extra property. We looked and looked 😂 finally someone got back to us and said there was a mistake. There was no pool or extra parking on the property. I emailed ahead of time asking for type of coffee pot and if there were filters. I was told a drip coffee maker and no filters. There was a Keurig, a drip coffee maker and lots of filters. The TV is streaming services only, so were disappointed to not be able to watch the olympics on...

“Beautiful neighborhood, close to park for family sledding, Tahoe City, King’s beach. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of pillows and comforters in bedrooms. Great wood stove. Would stay again!”

Slightly disappointed that the loft was blocked off during our stay (as it looks accessible in the pictures), but it ultimately didn't factor into our enjoyment. The best part of the cabin was that upon checking in, the fireplace and the hot tub were ALREADY running and ready to go. Instant warmth and comfort. Would happily come back to this cozy cabin in the future.”

“We did not stay at this property, but I had to pick a star in order to submit a review... We had to cancel our trip due to a severe winter storm in the area. Grand Welcome was not helpful, particularly communicative, or responsive about this. They did not respond to my inquiry about the state of the roads and property due to the storm. When I let them know that we would be cancelling, they directed me to file a claim through the insurance that I purchased and offered no other information or help...

“Great place, but no A/C. We were there in July and it was unreasonable hot in the upstairs bedrooms to the point of not being able to sleep. The fans provided were adorable, but not enough to make a dent with keeping the air circulated. Keep this in mind during the summer, it will be HOT in that house and unbearable. Also, it would have been nice to be notified that there is a “fee” to use the pool/fitness area. $10.00 per person per day and another $2.00 for a towel.”

“We loved this clean house. It was fully equipped. Full kitchen, bathrooms had everything. It was nicely decorated. Our only issue was that there was no porch to sat on. Also, the nearlby snow place (5 min away) was closed so we had to drive 30-40 min to get somewhere.”

“The location on the north shore is great to access many towns and ski resorts easily. Property managers were very prompt with any questions we had. The size of the place was perfect for our family of 8 (grandparents, two kids, and two couples).”

“We loved our stay at this rustic mountain retreat. It had great amenities: well stocked kitchen, great pellet stove, awesome screen for movie nights, excellent location. Very clean and efficient use of space. A few items to note though: hot tub was dirty, no hot water / pressure at kitchen faucet. An inconvenience - but will not deter us from considering this house again.”

“We happened to have a heat wave while we were there, so the lack of air conditioning was a problem. I learned that I should definitely check that box in future rentals. The yard was very overgrown, almost shoulder height weeds (I’m 5’7”) and we could not really use the space well.
