“Escogí a este hotel por el diseño y la cercanía a York. Se tarde 30 minutos en tren desde Harrogate (1 hora en coche !). El hotel es una joya, elegante, muy limpio, con baños muy modernos y unos desayunos espectaculares. Esta muy cuidado y se muestra el buen gusto de los dueños. En cuanto a Harrogate, es menos conocido pero merece la pena la visita, especialmente por los parques, tiendas, los baños turcos y Betty's Tearoom, donde se puede disfrutar del mejor afternoon tea!”

“La propiedad en general está bien, pero usan varios trucos para hacerte pagar mucho más por tu estancia, que a cualquier viajero incomodan. Te dejan un hoja donde hábilmente te hacen pensar que hay un desayuno "gratias" y otro de pago, el de pago cuesta 15 libras y es pequeño, el problema es que esperas a que empieces a consumirlo que parece un desayuno gratis y al final te cobran 10 libras por una corn flakes. “Hotel muy bueno para tener un descanso apropiado. Lo que no me gustó es que no pude pagar con tarjeta de crédito porque no servía la terminal.”

“Food was excellent, breakfast plentiful and tasty, evening meals were very good. Bathroom we were in was a little cramped and the floor tiles were cracked and broken. Overall the whole stay was very pleasant , the staff were very friendly without being overly so. Would definitely go back if we were in the area.”

“Had a lovely stay at Argyle House, was comfortable and convenient. Easy to find and Bill gives you all the information you need. Close to major attractions and in a very walkable area. Room was clean and the slight gothic decor in our room was fun and on theme for the area. ”

“The room was great for our needs, very spacious with comfortable beds and a large bathroom. I was holidaying with my teenage granddaughter and the twin beds gave us plenty of room. It was about a 10 minute walk to the harbour (anout 30 minutes to walk back, it's a very steep hill! Dont believe google maps that says mostly flat!) There is a bus stop outside the hotel but we didn't use it. However, on our last evenung we had a taxi and it was £4.50.”

The only strange part was going to the bar to order and pay for it up front and then asked if you wanted to leave a tip before you had been served anything and did not know if the service was going to be any good which was very strange - I feel sorry for the staff as I declined the tip upfront but then had no cash with me to make my usual 10% tip after I finished...
