“My son and I recently bought a fishing boat With the private dock, it made things very convenient and an we had an enjoyable stay, love the lake and the surroundings, and the cottage was comfortable and well stocked.”

“Cathy was very responsive to inquiries regarding what to do/where to go although everything was provided in binder for visitors left on table! Place was very clean, extra blankets/necessities although lots of gnats in kitchen area. Beautiful patio w/ stream running across backyard, very relaxing! Didn't realize house was just feet from a very busy main road, kids had to be careful. Everything was within a few minutes away! Must check out Natural Stone Bridges & Caves in Pottersville just 10 min...

“We really enjoyed our stay and the views were awesome. We’ve been vacationing in the Adirondack Mountains for many years but didn’t know that Birchwood Cottages was a place that you could stay. We’ve always stayed at the Maple Leaf up in Schroon Lake. We now plan to make Loon Lake a yearly thing.”

“Arrived around 5 on Saturday. Great location. Once I figured out how to open key holder, we moved in. We enjoyed our cabin, found the information folders helpful. We had a nice fire and enjoyed our stay. Our suggestions for improvement. The light in the main room was very bright. A dimmer light switch would have been appreciated. Would like to have had a reading light on both sides of the bed.”

“We had a great week at Birchwood Cottages!! The cottage itself was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the kayaks, SUP boards, beach toys, etc that they have available for everyone to use. We were there during a major storm, and lost power. We immediately were checked on and assured that the generator was on so we would at least have water. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. My youngest is already asking for us to book for next summer.”

“Amazing cottage, lots of room, big open spaces, excellent kitchen and dining area, 2 fireplaces outside, outdoor patio with furniture. Fans in most rooms, huge beds, nice bedding, extra bedding and pillows, rooms were decorated well with a cottage theme. Full bedroom downstairs with king bed, downstairs also has a game room, sitting room, and washer and dryer. There is no TV on the 1st or 3rd floor, only on the 2nd floor, with a fire TV app. The property is large and quiet, we saw lots of deer...

“Overall the cabin was great and as described. We enjoyed the lake, use of the kayaks, and sitting by the fire both inside and out. The pups enjoyed their time too. Amanda was great with information and answers to our questions. We had a hiccup from Mother Nature and Amanda was very communicative about it. Luckily for us, the power was turned on right before we arrived. Bed was comfortable. Shower is quite small especially for women who need to shave. Cell reception and wifi wasn’t the greatest....

“We really enjoyed our stay at Birchwood Cottages. The cabin was very quaint, clean and well kept. The pool table and ping-pong table in the rec room were a fun plus and the location was great and very easy to get to. Communication with the owners was excellent as well. We called to ask a question and received a call back immediately with the information that we needed. All in all, this was a very good value for the money.”

“Had trouble unlocking door because I was not familiar with key fob. Easy after that. Beds were very comfortable, even the sleeper sofa was. The coffee pot didn't work, but I didn't bother to notify Patrick as I was the only person that wanted hot coffee. Nice tight screened in porch, no bugs. Will be visiting that area again.”
