Walnut Tree house is very nice, functional, comfortable, new with a practical floor plan, large kitchen and well located for access to local hiking. The bathrooms are very functional and comfortable. All appliances are new and in great working order and the housekeeping staff did a great job. We enjoyed our stay in this quiet area with friendly neighbors and visiting local wildlife. We stayed about 5 weeks and noticed that the house is mostly meant for shorter stays and is excellent for that purpose. For instance: The house can accommodate 6 for sleeping, and there is plenty of room but the dining table only has 4 chairs; upon first entering you'll notice there is nowhere to hang your jacket, hat, etc and nowhere for keys as in actually lived in homes; there is no closet access in the master bedroom; a laundry basket for holding your clothes between washing and drying would be nice; the kitchen could use a blender, coffee grinder, baking dishes for brownies, pies, cakes and cupcakes rather than just baking sheets and maybe a salad spinner; a place to dine with table and chairs outside would be nice. We found the management company to be extremely resistant to any suggestions along these lines though after a couple of weeks they did improve the garbage handling situation. If planning to stay here my advice is to very carefully look at the virtual tour video and the list of amenities. Do not assume anything and be sure to bring or buy(as we did) whatever items are important to you. We would like to stay here again, but not right away. I'll be keeping my eye on it and waiting for it to "mature" like a fine wine or cheese.
