“The rural sheep farm offered quiet, a modern cabin, excellent food dinner, a wonderful farm tour that included wallabies, echidnas, a sheepdog herding demonstration, and an up-close sheep shearing demonstration. The owner is gracious and informative in several languages. We spent 2 nights enjoying comfortable beds and the calls of many interesting birds and animals. Nearby we can also recommend the gin distillery tasting and hiking the 3 waterfalls at Mt. Field national park. ”

“We selected this property specifically for fishing opportunities as alluded to in the listing. No bites from any point of the river on property and only area easily accessible to the shallow river was the “beach” which is an embankment. Per host’s recommendation we drove off road (need FWD) approx 2 mi to another property access point-no fish. *We discovered Beauty Bay jetty in St Helen’s to be a wonderful fishing spot-<10 min drive.”
