“Overall good place to stay. Kids loved the horses. Could do with a blind or curtain on the high window in the lounge room as morning sun is too bright for anyone using sofa bed. Sofa bed not very comfortable.”

“This unit was amazing. It was spotlessly clean and the starter pack of food and treat of wine was a lovely touch. The location was perfect being 10 to 15 minutes walk to Mullaloo Beach and coffee shops. It was a 5 minute drive to the small arcade of shops. Jodie the host has thought of everything you could possibly need for a stay at this property and was helpful if you needed her. I was sorry to leave and will definitely book this place next time I am in Perth. I highly recommend the property.”

“Our stay at Balcatta Sanctuary was great, the hosts are very friendly and accomodating. The house was everything we needed and presented very clean. Loved the outside sanctuary! The location was quiet & private, very handy having the park/playground at the end of the street for the kids. Would highly recommend this place!”

“Convenient and comfortable”

“DO NOT STAY HERE! Perhaps once upon a time, when the owners werent tired, grumpy and rude, this place may have been a great place for young families to stay and enjoy everything it said on the brochure. Now only local workmen 'live' there. We arrived to a run down, very dated scene and what first hit me when walking in, was the smell. Dust and old. Neat and tidy but very dusty. Back garden was cluttered with all sorts of stuff. Couldn't use the bbq due to plant cuttings and rubbish all over it....

“This is an outstanding place to stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Perth Hills, established in a picturesque valley where orchards and vineyards abound. We stayed in the coach House which is a cute little cottage with sufficient home comforts as well as a large spa bath. Little hospitality touches like a carafe of port to warm one as a pre-dinner drink, the welcome platter of assorted cheeses and nibbles, the lighting of a fire in the dining room to make the breakfast room cosy are...

“I stayed less than 24 hours although booked for 5 nights - returned home due to out of control dog on property and owners not prepared to confine it during my stay to protect my safety. I was spoken to rudely by one of the owners when I requested assurance.”
