“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we stayed here at the same time last year, and this year did not disappoint. Friendly, helpful staff, throughout the hotel. Good breakfast and special requests delivered quickly. Parking is good.
All rooms well supplied with tea,coffee etc . Good eco friendly towel and cleaning options.
We also saw staff deal very politely and discreetly with a complaint from another customer.
The cost is very good.

“Amazingly large and typically quaint old coaching inn under new and energetic management. We stayed because of proximity to Althorp House. Stand out feature is the food at typical pub prices but far from typical. It was superb and makes it a destination in itself. Such a pleasant change to eat real home cooking and not some chilled and reheated offering.

They seemd a little short staffed and, although the food was good, the tables were dirty and (bizarrely) the host told us the half empty restuarant was 'fully booked'. When we saw many empty tables, we asked the bar tender if it would be possible to order food and he was happy to oblige!
