“The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees....

“The location of the house is perfect. Easy to get to and so close to SNP. The views are fabulous! It was a great place to relax when we weren't out and about. My only reason for not rating a 5 is the living room sectional is in desperate need of replacing. Comfy furniture would make it a 5+”

“We really enjoyed staying at Ash Mountain for many reasons. To begin with, the setting is superb: a quiet mountain overlooking a river. The constant sound was super peaceful. Communication with Lori, the owner, was great and she helped us to ensure a pleasant stay. For example, we did not know about the harsh winter they had had at Sequoia as we do not live in the US, but she warned us about road and park closures so we could plan our days. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The host was lovely and very communicative - she happily let us check in early, and check out late. Amazing proximity to Sequoia National Park. Only room for improvement would be if the property had its own private entrance. You have to drive past a couple of houses to get to the location, so we were a little confused getting to the house, but it all worked out!”
