“For me, the primary criteria for a good stay is cleanliness. I am immediately pleased when my room is clean and no evidence of bugs. The rest of the details fall in line behind that. My room was near the ice machine so I did hear people getting ice, but nothing I couldn't deal with. The staff was extremely welcoming, helpful and professional. Outback is in the parking lot and a kind of fun pizza buffet is just across the street. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.”

“While there are other houses visible, this property was extremely quiet and relaxing. Great location, "civilization" easily accessible...just a short drive. Hope to stay again when we're more physically mobile (one broken back and one broken leg... hopefully we'll be fully recovered soon). Plenty of historic sites nearby.”

“Awesome building! Size of the loft was amazing! Great for our four year old son to run around after being in the car all day. In our next hotel in Roanoke (typical hotel room) our son kept opening the closet and bathroom doors looking for the “rest of the place.” Asking “where’s the rest of the rooms?”Good location. Clean kitchen. Straight forward check-in and out. Loved doing a load of laundry before traveling onto our next location. Beautiful building. Cool history. Great shower too. ”

“University Mill House was the perfect location while attending events at Cabarrus Arena. Susan was so responsive from the initial booking stages and throughout the stay. Immaculately clean, so much attention has been given to details of anything you may need from a sound machine, aromatherapy diffuser, dual kitchen decanter/kcup, fast brew hot water tea pot and every utensil imaginable.
