“The house is well equipped and spacious with lots of room to spread out and come together. We used the location to explore the region and had easy access to Sarlat, Beynac, Castelnaud, Domme etc. Highlight was a kayak trip on the Dordogne river past castles and beautiful villages. Our first view of the chateau was from its imposing position on the hillside which could be seen from several kilometres away basking in the evening sun as we approached. There is a 400m meandering drive up the hillside toward Chateau Madame that provides a secluded and safe setting. “We were with 8 adults and had a lovely stay in the Perigord region with quiet surroundings. Just the sound of a lot of birds keeps you awake during the day. The castle is very well equipped and decorated and not to big, neither to small. It fits the number of guests very good. You can visit several nice little towns(one or two stars Michelin!) but make cycle or walking tours as well. In short: lovely castle and park, everything you need is there.”
