“We stayed in Casa Verde for 3 days while we explored Monteverde. I love the location as it was away from the town but relatively close. We could walk to the Cloud Forest (make sure you get your passes first though). The house itself was well stocked, although it could have used a heat source as it was pretty cold at night. We took advantage of the hot tub which was a nice treat after our day hikes. Highly recommend checking out El Tigre Waterfalls and Selvatura while in the area. ”

“Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. ”

“Wonderful! Highly recommended - amazing view from the porch, and we saw toucans, bellbirds, capuchin monkey, agouti, coati, heard howler monkeys and manakins-- all while enjoying coffee of the porch. Feels like you're in the middle of the cloud forest but a quick drive or lovely walk to Santa Elena or Monteverde. We enjoyed the trails and the optional al fresco breakfast. Daniela is the best host. Highly recommended! ”

“Our stay at this property was a complete nightmare. Upon arrival, we were given a digital code to enter, but the keypad didn’t work—either it had no batteries or was broken. When I called the host, she was completely unaware that guests were arriving that day. She eventually gave us another code for a non-digital lockbox, which had a physical key. Oddly enough, when we finally got inside, there was a welcome sign with my name on it—so clearly, they did know we were coming. We rented the entire...
