Perfect spot for a stay near the Porcupine Mountains. Well maintained and clean home with many outdoor yard games available. Great firepit available in back yard.

Great place to relax!
Deb and Bill have an awesome place to kick your feet up after a long day hiking! Perfect location to see the many trails and views the UP has to offer. They had tons of maps, menus and any other info you need to make any day a fun day! Thanks again!

Great Home Base
This made a great home base for our trip to the Porkies! Location was perfect. Went out hiking and were never far from the house, multiple places to get to the lake. Home was well stocked and clean. There's an IGA a few minutes up the road so you can grab groceries. Overall, highly recommend and would definitely return.

Great home base for touring the area.
Very nice place that was clean, comfortable and had all the comforts needed. Beds very comfortable. Ample towels. Plenty of seating. Had several outdoor activities in the yard and plenty of games indoors for families. Just 10-15min from town and area activities.

Perfect getaway
Property was clean and very spacious! Only a half mile from the beach. Lots of games provided in the house and yard games outside! Host was friendly and check in was simple and painless. Would definitely stay there again!!

We enjoyed our stay at Porcupine Place. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed, and definitely appreciated the water cooler. Location is good for exploring the Porkies and many local waterfalls. The owners were easy to communicate with and were helpful with recommendations.

Great stay!
Perfect location between Ontonagan and the porcupine mtns. It was the perfect place to relax after hiking all day or visiting town. We also had a great time looking for yooperlites, unfortunatley we didnt find any but there is always next time!

Perfect location for the Porkies!
Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed hiking the Porkies, drove to Houghton for a day trip (very cool town), and looked for yooperlites at the beach (1/2 mile down the road). The cabin was clean and a welcoming place to come back to at the end of each day and Deb was a great host and very responsive and made great suggestions for activities in the area. Highly recommended!

Very Nice!
This is a very nice place in a beautiful setting. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. The location is excellent. We really enjoyed our stay but would have preferred to have blinds or curtains on the living room & kitchen windows as it didn't feel very private at night. Still, I would recommend.

Good location for Lake Superior Circle Guests
Enjoyed our stay at Porcupine Place as it was a good location to do many things in the area. Owner was wonderful in communication before and during our stay. Left us lots of great tips on sights/restaurants when we arrived as well. Only suggestion is to add a few more chairs in dining/kitchen area. Only had 4 chairs available and with 3 bedroom capacity, could have used a few more, but nothing we didn't adapt too! Thanks for the stay!

Convenient location/great stay
Porcupine Place was great for our annual Mother/daughter trip! It was conveniently located to Porcupine Mountains/Lake of the Clouds and many area waterfalls. Also, only 1/2 mile drive down the road to Green Park for some Yooperlite rock hunting (we found several small ones!) Porcupine Place was spotless! The kitchen was well stocked and the owners even provided a water cooler for those of us not used to drinking well water! When I inquired about a few specific kitchen items (cast iron frying pan, slow cooker, casserole dish) they had them on the counter ready and waiting for me! Beds were comfortable & towels & linens were clean (as in no stains!) Floors are vinyl, so no nasty dirt harboring carpet to walk on. A huge plus in our opinion! We felt very comfortable during our stay. A little heavy on the perfume (but that’s a personal thing due to allergies) and was easily remedied by unplugging the wall units. Our only real issue, as another reviewer recently wrote, was the smell of cigarette smoke. It appears to be a new problem and after contacting the owners and providing details, they assured me that they will be taking steps to remedy the situation. They were very concerned about this issue. I feel confident that future guests will not have this problem. I would like to see blinds or drapes on more of the windows, but again, personal preference. Overall a great place to stay and we would stay again! Thanks Bill & Deb for sharing your home!

Great location for hiking the "porkies". Extremely limited grocery options for organic produce and gluten free items. Nice remodel. Might want to remove the mouse traps from under the family room couch!

The home was clean, well stocked and great amenities such as WIFI and smart tv. The beds and bedding were comfortable. All appliances worked as they should. The big water bottle for drinking water was a great addition! The host was very timely with communication and we were able to check in early! We enjoyed our time in the UP.

Beautiful Spot!
A very nice house in an absolutely beautiful part of the state. Big public beach a half mile walk away, Ontonagon about 10 minutes away driving, and the Porcupine Mountains offer hundreds of choices for hiking. Next door neighbor is incredibly kind and the owners are quick to respond to any questions or needs.

Smelled Like Smoke
The home smelled of smoke and bothered everyone in our party. Our clothes smelled like it when we left. I have allergies and left feeling congested and sick. The toilet leaked water from the base and the shower didn't drain. This was very disappointing after we drove 7.5 hours to get to this location and there were not other options for lodging in the area. We only could use the home to sleep in due to the odor.

Nice place near beaches and Porcupine Mountains. Kid friendly, toys, outdoor games, etc. only problem was toilet leaking and back up in bathtub. Otherwise very comfortable.
