“We had a 10 out of 10 experience with our 6 night stay! We were allowed an earlier check in the with great communication with the hostess. The place was immaculate, cozy, excellent WiFi, great outdoor space. Private which we avidly loved. We grilled out a couple nights, had a bonfire, cooked smores (complimentary by the hostess) We will be back in the spring 2026 Thanks again Helen. You were so wonderful to work with. “We are amazed at how big this property/apartment was and how clean it was. We have stayed in places where it wasn't as clean and this place was CLEAN. It is also spacious and well-stocked with kitchen gadgets and dishes. The bedrooms are good sizes, cozy and there are 3 of them.We only spent time there at bedtime and breakfast as we were just outside of Houghton-Hancock area and wanted to explore Copper Harbor and the Porcupine Mountains. “Very clean! Plenty of windows for great evening cross-breezes. The location was phenomenal - walking distance to Silver St. What more could you want?!Only disappointment was the bar below was closed all the days we were there - we were hoping to head down there in our PJs for a night-cap and then head back upstairs to bed! Because, come on.....how often could you say you did that?!?Thanks for sharing your penthouse! We'll be back!”

“Our stay was wonderful! We decided last minute to get away for a couple of days to attend the high graduation party of a relative and celebrate our upcoming anniversary. The rental was perfect for the two of us. There were restaurants within walking distance, as well as right next door! We enjoyed Cooper Peak and the waterfalls of the Black River which were just a short drive away. There was an issue with the heat, but Nannette was on top of it right away. The communication with her was superb!...

“Nanette makes you feel at home with your stay at Sunday Lake Retreat. Being a first-time user of VRBO, I found it very easy to book and check in with Nanette. The hospitality shown to me was great. Having stayed from July 2nd to the 5th, there was plenty to see and do in the town of Wakefield, Michigan. I will be staying with her again in the future. ”
