“The pictures of this home do it no justice! Better than we expected! Views were stunning! Well stocked kitchen! Great layout! Well kept property! We only had 2 cars in the driveway, but plenty of room for more - if necessary! We will definitely return next year for our yearly outing to Wilksboro. The only “down side” was the lack of screens on the doors. The weather was perfect to keep the AC/heat off and let the fresh air in, but due to the bugs and lack of screens, we had to keep things...

“Everything was exactly as advertised - clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything you need for a nice break from the grind. The cabin was idyllic and in a peaceful, quiet area (while being close enough to town that you can easily pick up anything you want that isn’t provided). The area does have poor mobile/cell service but in my opinion, that’s an upside. Host does offer free wifi so if you must be connected, that’s an option. Highly recommend. ”

Kay and Les are wonderful hosts and offered their assistance. We made beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. From the kids playing board games, puzzles, running around the pond, playing football, watching the sheep, playing with the dogs and chickens. And fishing for the first time. We will definitely be back.”

“We had a fantastic time at the Urban Escape! The house was spotless, and the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful from booking to checkout. The zen vibe of the property made for a truly relaxing getaway. We especially loved the backyard oasis—it was the highlight of our stay. While we didn’t use the hot tub, it’s a great feature to have available. The backyard could use a little extra care, perhaps a quick blow of the deck to clear some leaves, but overall it was such a peaceful space....
