“I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian. The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different. The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic ”

“The attention to detail was second to none even leaving a lovely fresh loaf of bread with all condiments to make breakfast toast. The evening roast dinner was superb and our host Jake alongside his ‘sommelier’ Charly couldn't do enough for us. We shall return.”

“A lovely hotel/pub. The staff were very welcoming helpful, friendly and efficient. The chef produced some wonderful meals We've stayed in larger rooms but that didnt matter as there was everything you needed with the added bonus of being so lovely and warm as we chose to stay during the coldest few days of this year. York, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors were all not far away. We'll definitely be back.”

“When we checked in, we did not stay in the actual Queen Catherine. Instead they walked us across the street to the three tuns hotel. I'm guessing it's part of it but they don't really make that known while booking. Otherwise it was a good stay and nice accommodation. Breakfast was good. ”

“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”
