“It's a good value cottage in a good location just a few minutes from National Park and close to Whakapapa. It could do with a good spring clean, but you can't argue the price. “We were 4 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. Very spacious house. Clean and comfortable. Was a bit cold initially but once we lit the fire and used the heat pumps the house was nice and warm. Highly recommend and would stay there again!”

“I have stayed in many book-a-baches over the years, and while most are always great, a few just rise out above the rest to stand as being exceptional. “The chalet was the perfect stay for us to explore Tongoriro National Park. The park turnoff was 15 minutes away. The National Park town has numerous dining options with a number of places that have incredible outdoor views. The turn is small and walkable and very safe and quiet! “This was our first ‘extended’ family trip. Eight of us in total, 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2, 6, 9, 15). The house and outside area was fantastic and fit for purpose. There was plenty of room so we didn’t feel on top of each other. Fantastically stocked kitchen, has every utensil and pot you’d need. Enough beds/bedrooms and bathrooms. “A warm welcome from Kevin and the dogs on arrival. A lovely clean, beautifully decorated accomodation. All necessary equipment to cook and some basic pantry items provided. Fresh milk which we loved(not uht) and some yummy cereal. The spa was fabulous and views perfect. We had a real nice peaceful stay which was what we were looking for. Finished off with a 2 minute drive to ocean beach before heading off. Fabulous property, fabulous hosts.”

“I had the best 2 nights here - the chalet was clean and well stocked, down to the extra pillows, blanket, hairdryer and complimentary breakfast. The hot tub was delightful and just what I needed to fully unwind from the hustle and bustle of Auckland. This experience was such a breeze and I was undisturbed throughout my whole stay - I would highly recommend this place and will most definitely be back in winter to try the hot tub!!”
