“For the price I’m very happy with the hotel room we got. It was spacious, lots of natural light coming in, comfy chairs and beds, many mirrors, bathroom was clean and could bathe relaxed. Only downfall was the carpet in the room definitely needs a better deep clean. Service was good. The male staff member at the desk seemed much more accommodating and pleasant compared to the female staff member. She wasn’t horrible at all! Just gave us both uncomfortable vibes as if we were doing something...

“The room we had was spacious, very clean, decorated in neutral colours and very comfortable. It was lovely and bright in the day and dark in the evening. “As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. ”

“The setting is a lovely village green, a great place to try out the various ales on tap. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and well equipped. Although we found the beds uncomfortable. Breakfast is recommended especially at £7.50 per head, per morning (if you pay upfront). Although there are items missing that were on the online menu, everyone including me kept asking for the pancakes! Would highly recommend, as long as you can stomach the usual noise associated with a pub and unsupportive...
