“It was amazing. So first of all there is a remote gate to get to the house which makes you feel like you are visiting royalty. The white outside is like a bungalow in the middle of wilderness. It is super modern and renovated. The outdoor space is also so beautiful with its large front porch and smaller back yard porches. There is lush plants and coconut and banana trees in the back and all sorts of greenery. The bathrooms are super modern. There are plenty of towels, bags and condiments etc....

“This was the perfect place to stay for our night in Monteverde with my family! We felt like we were part of the beautiful nature surrounding us. The views were amazing! The place was clean and beautifully decorated. We got to use the hot tub, which was relaxing. The dome had enough space for my husband and I along with our 2 teenage boys. Andy and Mary had pancake mix there to enjoy, but we didn't have enough time to make any, but it was a nice touch. The place had everything we needed....

“Modern facilities with really nice stone counters, security gates, privacy and hot tub. Each room had its own view. One sofa was broken, ants appeared after the first day and washer was broken. We were next to a cow field which was actually nice. The area was off the main road and quiet, in between the La Fortuna downtown and the volcano.”

“This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane...

“Very nice coupel which is having this place, very personal and seems to be in the middle of the jungle. In the night you can here all the mystic sounds of the jungle when standing on the patio in front of the room. Typical breakfast, very tasty. Good to make trips to el arenal or the therm baldi. You need a car though.”

“We really enjoyed the quiet village and the house's amazing views of the volcano and lake! We saw beautiful birds everywhere. Loved the swings and the 3rd floor lookout! So peaceful. The only drawbacks were, one night the neighborhood dogs barked for an hour and we had a little trouble finding the house but Erika went out of her way to talk us through it and had her daughter meet us! Also, the first and second floor are only connected by outdoor steps. It was great for us because our teens...

“The place is perfectly located, beautiful mountains view with an incredible sunset watching point. It has a great proximity to Santa Elena, Monteverde and all attractions around. Communication with the host is very smooth. Yaloco Chalet is semi-glamping accomodation though (tent door in the main bedroom), it is a bit challenging to rest when you have a light sleep - quite noisy with wind and/ or rain. Other than that it was a nice 2-nights' stay.”

“The cabin style home was amazing, I stayed with my 3 kids for almost a week. The home was very equipped in the bathroom and kitchen. I cooked 1-2 times a day and had al the utensils and tools needed for the kitchen. The size of the area was perfect. The views were amazing. It felt like home for us.
