“I arrived on New Years Eve, but the property hadn't warned me that the only food option was a three course meal at £44.50. Similarly on New Years Day, I went early for dinner at 6.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 6. No one had alerted me to the early closure. They did make me some Tapas. If I had known I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to hotel. The food on New Years Day was excellent, I just didn't want to spend that much money. ”

“Friendly reception and service. Room was non-smoking but one could notice it had been smoking before, every time at entering the room. Comfortable bed. It's clear the bathroom had been renovated, but why wasn't at least one hook installed to hang towel and/or clothes? Very frustrating, moreover as the (gliding) door wasn't of any help here either.”

“This is a good hotel for a stay of one or two nights. However, in general the building needs an update. Especially if I look to the price a paid for the room. The bathroom is clean but basic. The restaurant offers exceptable food. The breakfast is too basic (the bread is not good, nothing to choose, very basic and dry). The staff is very fiendly.”

“A nice stay on our way back from Portsmouth to Lincoln. We arrived at 10.30 pm and made very welcome, we ordered a sandwitch in the bar which was no trouble. The room was fine . Good access to the motorways and plenty of safe parking if you have a nice car. Take an hour to discovery the vast grounds of the hall before you leave. We will stay here again. Graham & Gaynor R”

“We stayed 2 nights while attending a family wedding. The hotel is old but very clean. It could do with an update in some areas especially the showers in the rooms. That said we had a warm comfortable stay and would stay again. The breakfast was fine could have been hotter but plenty choice. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff were great and attended to any request promptly. Another plus is that there is plenty parking and a lift if you find stairs difficult. ”
