Coming from Matira beach previously, the surrounding and water is not as attractive but you can still swim from the dock.We enjoyed the quietness and again very relaxing time for a family of 5 without feeling crowded.Very welcoming. “This is a great place to stay on Raiatea with its own little beach. We liked the open concept and the property management is very accommodating. The beach isn’t the best for swimming due to lots of coral but we did enjoy kayaking to the nearby Motu where more swimming possibilities exist. “We were to stay two nights. Airport went on strike and we couldn’t get there. Tried to cancel no communication between Vrbo the host and me. No refund when it was not our fault. Other people stuck there for days. Could have rebooked with them. Told that this happens every July. Charged for stays that they can’t get the people there.”
