We spent time hiking roan mountain range which is very close and spent a afternoon floating in the river with Loafers Glory Rafting and Tubing. House had a few minor quirks but to be expected with older properties. Over all highly recommended.”

It was centrally located for us to visit the following: Biltmore Estate, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Mount Mitchell, Looking Glass Falls, Sliding Rock, Lake James, and Catawba Meadows Park. I gave the location and neighborhood a 3 star only because the road is very busy for those who like to exercise or walk the dog and the lake at this location is not clear water.
