“Stayed in the 6 person motel unit, probably 4 more comfortably than 6, but for the two of us though it was great and had everything we needed. Could do with a modern heater/aircon and spruce up but was a very clean room and staff were helpful and friendly. ”

“This was a lovely clean place to stay. The apartment had a kitchenette so we were able to cook our dinner a couple of the nights we stayed. The upstairs bedroom was huge and a really nice view out. Hot shower and comfy bed. Only thing missing was a bbq (even a communal one would do) ”

“Apartment was gorgeous and Gina is amazing to deal with very friendly I just found the check in check out time on the website contradictory one said check in at 2pm other said at 3pm and same with check out one said 10am other said 11am only other issue was the early noise from upstairs but apart from that it was a great stay ”

“We have stayed many incredible and beautiful places all over the world. Te Karaka Lodge is completely in a class by itself! Everything and everyone in this place is superb. “This was our absolutely favorite place to stay out of a two week trip visiting six different areas of NZ. The building has a wonderful and unique history and is thoughtfully decorated with fun artwork. The views are absolutely stunning from the apartment and the location is perfect.
