“The staff is great and super helpful. There are few dining options in the area. Only three restaurants were open for dinner (none walkable), a Subway, a Mexican place, and Herringbone, which had no outside seating. Breakfast was only so-so this time. They had no avocado as promised and the English muffins for the Benedict were cold and too hard to cut. Server was excellent. And walking up three flights of stairs with bags is a little tough; guess we need to book earlier. Would still go...

“The location is great just a short walk to the Manteo river front with all the stores and restaurants. We visited the aquarium which we highly recommend. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities you would want. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated.”

“Wonderful historic inn. Clean, spacious room. Innkeeper left keys for us since we arrived after 5 pm. Only negative is that we wished coffee and tea were available downstairs for earlier risers before 8:30 breakfast. Keurig in room wasn’t supplied. ”
