“A very satisfied stay at the Hawksmoor Guest House. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and cooked from scratch. Our room was available earlier than stated and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great too, just a 15 minute walk to the town and Lake Windermere. “We were booked for 2 nights at this property. It is quite near to the Bowness pier and the shops and restaurants. The rooms are spread across cottages and rooms in the main building with reception and restaurant/bar in a separate building. Even though near the centre it is quiet. Staff is great and welcoming! “A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. ”

“This is my 2nd time staying at the Station Lodge. You can't beat the price, the location and both times I've stayed I had nice large rooms. It's literally across the street from the train station, and as this is the last stop on the train you literally don't hear any sounds from the train. AND the trailhead for the Orett trail is also literally across the street. This trail spiders out to many other trails. There are a ton of restaurants, shops, pubs and the awesome grocery store with a cafe...

“We were a family staying with our dog for a Lake District break. This home is really well located for the shops and cafes in the centre of Windermere which are a 1 minute easy walk away. We could also walk down to the Lake on nice walks in 15/20 mins and walking into Bowness which was about 1 mile. The property is spread over 3 floors and 3 shower rooms/toilets was a great bonus. Hot tub worked really well and was a nice treat and parking for 2 cars (1 off street, 1 with a residents permit)....
