Esta gran casa de lujo cuenta con muchas comodidades excelentes y es el lugar perfecto para una gran reunión en Durango. Convenientemente ubicado a solo 15 minutos al norte del centro de la ciudad ya 20 minutos al sur de la estación de esquí, su grupo puede disfrutar de una serie de actividades con facilidad. Pero con todas las cosas que hacer en casa, así como las maravillosas vistas a la montaña, ¡no querrás irte! El garaje tiene una mesa de ping pong y muchos juegos al aire libre para jugar en el amplio patio delantero, como croquet y bádminton. Si tiene ganas de relajarse y descansar, puede darse un baño en la bañera de hidromasaje al aire libre. Dentro de la casa encontrará muchas cosas que lo mantendrán ocupado, como libros, películas y música. También hay una pequeña mesa de juegos y muchos juegos. Una cocina grande y completamente equipada y una mesa de comedor de plantación significa que todos pueden reunirse a la hora de comer. La sala de estar cuenta con una chimenea de gas ideal para un clima más fresco, y también tiene un sofá cama doble para arreglos adicionales para dormir. Tres de las habitaciones también se encuentran en el piso principal. Las dos primeras cuentan con camas Queen y comparten un baño Jack and Jill con bañera / ducha y lavamanos doble. Great house and location, could use some TLC
We had a wonderful time at the house with 19 people. As other reviews stated the kitchen is well stocked, but we wish there had been an electric griddle for pancakes. There was a plethora of games, movies, yard toys, books, puzzles, and anything you would want to do. There was new carpet in all the bedrooms which was very nice and plenty of beds and bedding for our whole group. We had some little ones in our group so we stuck around the house quite a bit. All the grandkids loved the hot tub and playing in the huge front yard. The kitchen cupboards could use a good scrubbing, many of the windows didn't open and the air conditioning in in just 3 rooms. There are MANY notes and rules around the house, and the instructions on how to keep the house cool did work for us, but the hottest day was just 85 degrees. We didn't like that toilet paper wasn't provided and we had to buy that. The porch, firepit, and yard furniture are great and we loved the location. Close enough to Durango so you could get there in just minutes but far enough away that we didn't have traffic or noise. I would recommend this house and we may stay there again if we go back to Durango with our family.

Tall Spruce House
The property was great. Management not so much. Watches everything you do will text you if you put an inflatable kiddy pool on the lawn to remove it even if it was only on lawn a few hrs because it might kill the lawn because its happened in the past, will call 30 min after you leave to find out what supposed red spots in the white/ light carpet is so they know how to treat it. Makes you feel like you are watched all the time and makes you feel you didn't take care of the property even if you go above and beyond the rules to leave it clean and respected. House was a 9 management a 4

Great space with plenty of room for our family group of 18. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the large front yard and deck. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed for cooking and the outside grills worked great. Most of our questions/concerns were addressed in a timely manner. Our last night a mouse came out from under the oven and there were droppings under the oven. Otherwise the house was very clean. There were some minor overall maintenance issues…many outlets did not work, a couple of upstairs sinks drained very slowly and shower door in the smaller master bath upstairs fell out of the track.

New Year Family Vacay
We were very happy with the layout of the property. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable and spread out enough for privacy. Loved the large kitchen and dining table. Enjoyed the hot tub as well as the pool table and gaming area. The master suite was spacious and having the extra room made it more relaxing. The property is easy to get too and just far enough out of town to feel like you are out in countryside.

Great House for large group!
Big Beautiful house in great location! We enjoyed our stay here! This house was clean, has lots of room for a large group and a well stocked kitchen. The teens had lots of fun using the ping pong, fuse ball & pool tables. We would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful House for Our Family
My children, grandchildren, and I stayed at this beautiful house for five days this past July. We enjoyed the time spent here. The house was clean and spacious. The rooms were attractively decorated. It was perfect for a large extended family. We loved the tall windows looking out at the mountains.The kitchen was one of the most well-stocked kitchens we've ever had while staying in homes.. The second fridge/freezer in the garage next to the kitchen was a great help. The house had toys and games for the kids. The garage had fun games and activities for the kids to play with outside. We especially loved the two outside patios. We loved playing board games on the large front patio table while the kids played on the huge lawn. I can recommend this house as a great place to stay.

Great space for large family!
Extended family stayed here for a week for an event in Durango. The setting was beautiful! There were several living spaces inside and out that allowed us to spread out when needed, but also gather together for meals. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the dishes and utensils we needed, and some extra items we hadn’t expected—a very pleasant surprise! We did have to get a little creative with sleeping arrangements since our group was mostly adults, but the futons, roll-away beds, and foam mattress topper all helped make it work out! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend for other large families!

This home was close enough to town yet far enough away to enjoy the red cliffs. We had the perfect number of bedrooms and we were able to cookout one night and enjoy the well appointed kitchen and huge dining room!!

Family Vacation
We had our whole family together at Tall Spruce Tree House and we had a wonderful time. The house and yard easily accommodated us and the kids had a great time playing outside. Very spacious home, great for large groups
Pros: The home was beautiful and more than enough space for our group of 10 to move freely throughout the houses without feeling like we are on top of each other. House was fully stocked with more than enough cookware, dishes, utensils, and glasses to make home cooked meals without any issues. Home is equipped with lots of things to keep everybody entertained. Cons: the beds were pretty bad and left the majority of the group with back pain by the end of our 4 night stay. The house has SO many rules…. No shoes allowed in the house, no eating OR drinking in the living/ game room (but there is a mini fridge and the pool table is there?). They have a pretty hefty check out process where you are expected to do at least 2 loads of laundry (for towels) and you cannot leave a load running in the washer when you leave, only the dryer. They also expect you to shock the hot tub every day after you use the hot tub….. they do state they can deduct $$ from your deposit if rules aren’t followed… Overall though, we had a nice stay here with a beautiful view of a snow covered mountain. Location was good, about 20 min from both downtown and Purgatory. We were just not prepared for such strict rules once we actually got there.

Excellent Home
We were three generations including two families with friends and one older person. The home accommodated us very comfortably. The house is well-appointed and was extremely clean. It sits halfway between Durango and Purgatory. They provided snow removal. We would all recommend it!

First time in Durango family vaca
The property is in a great location and had plenty of room for the 15 of us to have together time and our own space. The kitchen is well stocked including grills and many items you may need for cooking. There are lots of games, toys, and things to do at the house so if you didn’t want to leave there would be plenty to do. We rode the train, went to Mesa Verde and hung out in the historic part of Durango all of this was within a doable distance to the house. We did bring two tiny dogs with no issue and there were a few baby gates in the garage available for use. There are stairs to the second floor but also in several bedrooms so the gates are really important for babies. There was a high chair available in the garage as well. We brought our 16 month old daughter for reference and had no issues. We would definitely return… not only to Durango but to this house! Beautiful views, beautiful location and beautiful property. If there was one thing to be aware of, the front yard is long but there is no fence and the traffic moves pretty quickly on the road in front of the house. The front yard is where you hang out as the back yard is really just a hill… we managed but if there was a fence in the front that would have made me feel a little safer with dogs and kids. I read reviews about the in house temp, we had no issue. It was pretty warm outside during the day and we felt comfortable in the house. We opened the windows in the evening and it felt great.

Excellent stay
We loved this house! We had 16 friends together on a hiking vacation. Loved the property and the size of the house! I will say, for adults who are 30+ in age, 16 is about the max you can do comfortably (if you like a little privacy and actual beds). We had three in one master bedroom (futon + king bed), four in the other master (king + fold out queen), two in one queen room, one in one queen room (trip leader=privilege LOL), two in the twin bed room, three in the bunk room, and one in the futon/hot tub access room. The bunk room is really not the greatest for more than two adults with luggage, since there is no closet or hanging rack. Otherwise, the house is impeccable, the furniture comfy, the internet is easy and fast, it's not far from everything. and is really nice! There is a maintenance man who put out the trash and picked up apples from the apple trees, and we also think fixed a broken window crank while we were out. Thanks again!

A Place we could all enjoy!
We had a family reunion and all stayed in the house. The younger kids loved the bunk bed room. The family with an infant enjoyed the second master suite to not wake others. We enjoyed the spacious master suite for our own quiet time. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pans, dishes, and utensils we needed for meal preparation. Overall, totally enjoyable!
