“Ideally situated for an overnight stay if walking the South Downs Way. Excellent Sunday lunch - we could understand why it was popular! The Landlord was very helpful in providing the best route to re join the South Downs Way the following morning. Unfortunately the nearby cafes were not open for breakfast on Monday - The Green Welly doesn't open and The Nutmeg doesn't open on Bank holidays! We resorted to buying two baguettes from The White Lion and having them for breakfast and lunch!”

“This was a stay in a lovely castle! There are ruins on the property but it adds to the charm. The grounds are maintained beautifully, our room was gorgeous, comfortable and well appointed. The staff could not be more professional, thoughtful and helpful. We had a lovely dinner and delicious breakfast in the castle’s hall. This stay has been on my bucket list for many years and Amberley castle fulfilled it perfectly!”
