“Meal was lovely, unfortunately no breakfast, or suggestions where to go. Room great,lots of lights, room, comfortable and great clean bedding. Nice big mirror in the bedroom too. Towels nice white and fluffy. Only negative is the noice from the road through the night, could do with improved glazing as it’s a main route for trucks ”

It was hot night but expected it with the nice weather (room did have a small cooling unit and we brought our own fan). Nice bar and restaurant attached. “Nice quick check in,room nice and clean and beds very comfortable.Bathroom nice and clean ,plenty of towels , toiletries provided.Was a hairdryer,only thing would have been nice to have a socket near a mirror when drying your hair.This room we had this time was a lot noiser from all the traffic .Breakfast had plenty of choice ,nice to have brand name cereals,cooked breakfast was okay but mushrooms were nearly raw and fried eggs were quite rubbery looking and hard ”

“The property was tastefully furnished which reflected its historical past. There was a spacious sitting room for use by guests and a kitchen equipped for the heating and simple cooking of meals. The tasty breakfasts were cooked to order with locally sourced ingredients. There was a small but pleasant garden with suitable seating areas. The staff were always welcoming, helpful and friendly. It was an easy 12 minute walk into the cathedral area and town. We had a very comfortable stay although...
