“Canoeing the Broken Skull River and South Nahanni River. Stayed two days before and two days after trip. First apartment was cramped, relatively new but required some TLC. The apartment supplied by Anson on our return was spacious and new and worked out great. We have used this host 6 times and other than last minute changes of location and last minute sign in information he is excellent. ”

“I don’t know if this host has other properties in Whitehorse or not but if he does, I’m sure it will be just as wonderful as this one. The unit we had was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, it was just as advertised, conveniently located with a major grocery store, drug store, and many restaurants within easy walking distance. The unit was practically brand new, spacious and welcoming. The host was responsive. I would absolutely stay here again and not hesitate to recommend it to...

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great country setting. The cabin is more of a private home, including a complete kitchen, very comfortably furnished and decorated in homey northern decor. Our gracious hosts even left a thoughtful snack basket on the counter. Highly recommend this property!”

“We loved the cozy beautiful little cabin in the woods of Yukon. We went to see the aurora and did 3 nights. Due to La Nina, clouds were more frequent than we hoped. The wifi bandwidth was solid. We found our phones unable to navigate on the weak LTE cell signal when we got away from the cabin. We enjoyed the trail to "Happy Hour Rock" with its view of Lake Lebarge. The nearby Yukon Wildlife Reserve was another wonderful walk. A beautiful place overall! ”

“We had a great stay, it is a very quiet cabin and the property is the perfect distance away from the city. The cabin itself was very clean, and I appreciated that we had a washer and dryer to do laundry as we ended up staying an extra night. Alain was very understanding as I wanted to book an extra 2 nights due to a blizzard, but ended up only staying one extra night as it didn't snow as much as expected. He was quick to book us in for the needed days and quick to give a refund when we decided...

Quiet place by the lake for a calm stay

"The place seemed bigger from the photos, there were very little services at the property. No room cleaning, which is not specified when booking. The location is beautiful over the lake, but after that there is not much to do or additional amenities at the property. Another set back is that the meals are fixed to set menu for all of them, which you have to prebook. I suggest they could have additional options, considering there is no place around to go for a lunch or snack in more than 1 hour drive around, and it is not always possible to adjust to just a fixed schedule, specially on vacations. Also, there is no alert of auroras viewing, which is the reason we are staying there, and you should rely on your own ability to wake up to try and see them. I would suggest a stay of 2 nights at maximum at this property."
