“The house met all of my expectations. Plenty of towels were provided and extra linens were available as well. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and make coffee. The house is exactly as pictured. The neighborhood is a nice quiet neighborhood, I felt safe. There was soap left behind in the shower from the person that stayed before us but that wasnt a huge deal. “I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years (starting back in the 1990s), including before it became a Red Roof Inn (it used to be a "mom and pop" called the Herkimer Motel). It has always been well maintained, and its an affordable place to stay in the area, I use it as a jumping off point to go to Glimmerglass Opera and Cooperstown. “Super cute and peaceful location! I have never stayed in a motor Lodge before, and the convenience of having your car directly outside the room is insanely nice. I can see why it was such a popular design. The room was a bit dated, but very well kept, and the mattress older but not uncomfortable. The lodge has a small private beach a short walk down the hill, and you can borrow their kayaks for free! ”

“The staff was attentive and helpful. The beds and bedding were comfortable, although an additional pillow on each bed would be nice since the pillows (4) were very soft. “Clean, odor-free. Comfortable, firm bed. Very little traffic noise. Room was small but adequate. Good value. Friendly reception. There are two diners in Richfield Springs, about 8 miles east; a surfeit restaurants in Cooperstown.”
