“Is it not a good place for more than one night. Don't choose this place. We stayed 6 nights, they didn't change the blankets once, they only changed the bath towels once. There's no privacity. They offer free breakfast. We took it for 2 days, until we saw how she prepares the juice. She squeezes oranges full of mold, we asked her why she does it like that and she said there is not problem, that it does not taste bad and she has always done it that way. The frige that is available is dirty and...

“Kurt and Kana were very gracious hosts with a wealth of experience and understanding of the Big Island. It was a pleasure staying with them and the other guests.”

“This place was a gem. We only booked for one night of our trip but I wish we'd stayed longer. The food was delicious and sitting out on the deck watching the sunset was relaxing after a full day of travel. I loved the outdoor showers, and the indoors were also beautifully maintained and cared for. On our next adventure out here, this is where we're staying. ”

“Very quiet location the host was very flexible and responsive. There is no kitchen but bbq has a burner on the side. And the yurt came with all the pots and pans you would need. The yurt it self if very spacious the sky light offers great star gazing from your bed and nice natural light in the day. It is not to far of a drive from amazing attraction like black sand beach and volcano national park. I especially loved the dogs and the cats roaming the property. Wonderful glamping 10/10”

“We loved our stay at the yurt. The host was very responsive and helpful. We did get a lot of wind and rain but that’s Hawaii for you. The yurts had everything we needed. The village had a grocery store and one of the best coffee shops in the area. It is rural so expect rooster calls and dogs barking. ”

“We found Kabira and her thoughtfully furnished,clean, efficient apartment very welcoming. Truly a rural retreat and very quiet and relaxing. High up over the ocean!My need of a cane made things a bit challenging getting up a steep driveway and then steps but it was well worth the effort”

“Absolutely loved staying here and Jacob and Morena are top notch hosts! We love to get out and about and they were able to suggest some really awesome places to visit. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Such a great vibe and we loved the sound of the frogs at night. If we're ever on the Big Island again we will definitely stay here. ☺️”

“We had a wonderful stay at Lavaland in the Lava bus. The bus was comfortable, clean, warm, and had everything we needed for our two-night stay. We loved the star-filled skies, outdoor shower, delicious honey and eggs, and the lava landscape. The owners are welcoming and kind, and they gave us a tour of the unique property. We hope to return soon!”

“We were looking to get away from the crowds, get a Hawaiian experience away from town. Dee's Farm did all this and got us a nice view of sunsets over the ocean. Prepare to be off grid, there are farm animals around. ”

“Ohana house is a very special place. It is peaceful and beautiful. Come prepared with warm clothes for nights and early mornings and just enjoy being in a beautiful part of the world. Host is lovely and easy to work with. ”

“Everything was clean and the host is very nice. They did give away my yurt that slept 4 and put me in one that slept 2. Considering I had 3 in my party, it was a bit inconvenient. But the host helped us with a blow up mattress.”
