“Black Lantern Inn is a cozy place to stay. The exterior may be showing its age—1803!—but the interior exudes lots of character & charm. It’s listed on the National Historic Registry. Easy check in. Our Rm 6 was spacious, clean, quiet, with comfy & some vintage furnishings. All rooms appear to be on the 2nd floor & there's no obvious elevator (it’s an old building after all). Caveat re: our bathroom: toilet seat is loose & needs to be screwed tight; & don’t flush toilet while someone’s showering....

We would have liked a wood fireplace instead of gas, but it did the job. The only thing that we were disappointed in was that access to the pool was not included with our rental. I did not see this in the description or any of the emails. The woman running the pool was VERY nice and gave us a complimentary pool day as she mentioned that some packages include it...
