“Stayed at the Grand because I grew up in Torquay and it was always considered the standard for excellence. The hotel has a wonderful view looking back onto Torquay harbour, and it's so convenient for the train station. The number 12 bus stops right outside so easy to get to Paignton or Newton Abbot. Some of the room decoration is very dated but overall the room was spacious and comfortable. The service was excellent on reception. ”

“Both my husband and myself found the hotel to be just perfect location walk to the beach ideal for children..especially in summer months. Breakfast was great ample choice. However we found our bedroom overlooking the garden a little sparce could do with additional decorative objects to give it more appeal..”

“The reception was ok. Cleanliness ok Bed comfort Zero Bathroom Area Zero General atmosphere Zero. Only food available a Breakfast box by the door. Left after one night and had to pay to stay in another hotel Hotel near by provide good service and Evening meal plus cooked breakfast at just a small amount more than the Westcliffe. Cost me an additional £500. Covid Excuse does not apply as I have stayed in 4 hotels in Devon and Cornwall all providing good service and Food. Only worth £40 per...
