“Overall a great stay however breakfast service could be improved. The staff were friendly and helpful however thought approach of the chef strange. Can we have an omelette - no we don’t do them. Can we just have sliced avocado rather than the mashed - no. I don’t think either of these would really have been too much trouble for a chef but clearly not interested in pleasing the customer .”

“Lovely hotel and good food, our only complaint was that the heating in the room was not on when we arrived and we were told that it would not be switched on until 4.30 pm! Given that check in time is 3pm surely the heating should be on by then!!”

“We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. The pub itself has a nice enough bar, and offers fair evening meals, with a home-cooked feel, and a very good continental breakfast selection, or cooked options for just £6 extra. This...

“Good welcome, room was lovely and warm and bedding clean and plenty of pillows and spotlessly clean towels. Nice touch of biscuits and chocolate. Great location and good price. Sadly there were signs of mould around the door and bathroom tiling could do with a more intense cleaning of the grout as orange/yellow build up, plus I shared the bathroom with two very large spiders that were well established as had webs in corners. Having said this, I would use the Wellington again as really convenient...
