“We stayed for two nights at Etotongwe Lodge as a base for going to Etosha National Park. It had a real Lodge feel and we enjoyed the views. The room was clean and comfortable and suited our needs. There was a nice little sitting out area outside the room, although most other rooms had a more private area than ours (room 25). The bar was busy and access to the internet was limited therefore we only got onto the wifi on the final morning when there was no-one else around. This was important...

“The positioning of the lodge is its defining freaturr as the views are spectacular and available from every room and the main building. The quality of the food was high with a set menu and 'fine dining' feel. The track up to the lodge is steep and a 4x4 is needed if you don't take the lodge's lift. The activities offered are a little limited and at the upper end of the prices of other lodges. The overall value for money is less than some lodges, but if you like views it's worth it.”

“Nice place and room. Not on main road. Hotel is located inside and road is bumpy unpaved with no lights. Hard to exit in the morning. Dinner included was good. Room was comfortable, we had a living room. Staff accommodated a take away breakfast, we left at 6 am the 2 nights we stayed here. Safe. It had AC.”

“Had dit verblijf bij bespreken gelijk betaald en daarvan ook een bevestiging verkregen. Raar dat je dan allereerst een discussie aan moet gaan en te horen krijgt dat je niet betaald hebt omdat Expedia het geld achterhoud. De standaars kamer is echter zo klein dat je er geen koffer in kwijt kunt. Die moet in de auto blijven. Na flink bijbetaald te hebben een grotere kamer verkregen echter de volgende ochtend geen water uit de kraan. Nee deze accommodatie kan echt niet meer. Personeel is prima....

“Positives: Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr gutes Abendessen (Buffet mit Barbecue und hervorragendem Fleisch), Pool zum Abkühlen, sehr freundliches Personal und allgemein sehr sauber. Negatives: Warmwasseraufbereitung erfolgt mit über dem Gelände verteilten Kupferboilern, unter denen ab Nachmittag ein Holzfeuer entfacht wird. Das führt dazu, dass es überall auf dem Gelände nach Rauch riecht. Insbesondere auch in den Zimmer ist der Rauch deutlich wahrnehmbar (egal ob Fenster offen oder zu)....
