“One thing I learned after staying at this hotel was to not judge a book by its cover. Upon pulling up to the hotel, I was concerned. First, it is in a somewhat desolate area with very little around. “We had the very best weekend here! So much so, that my kids are convinced that we need to live in a Tiny House and my fiancé is shopping for one haha! The location is perfect, we had everything we could have possibly needed, the hosts are the sweetest and sooo helpful and responsive! Communicating with them was an absolute delight. We plan on staying here annually with our children and we cannot wait for our next stay!”

“This property is in a quiet, secluded area with plenty of property to explore and enjoy family time. The house is perfectly appointed, very clean and has rustic charm with all the modern amenities. The coffee nook was a nice touch as well. The location is in the middle of all the activities we participated in, hiking, zip lining, swimming, antique shopping and wine tasting. I recommend this house and location for a trip to southern Illinois.”

“We’ve been coming back to this cabin for a girls’ getaway for the past few years. The cabin is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We spend most of the time sitting on the deck and enjoying the sights and sounds of the pond. “This cabin is adorable and had all the amenities of home. It was very clean and the property itself was beautiful. It was very quiet, and was perfect for a small family. We opted to sleep on the pullout couch as the loft beds required climbing a steep ladder. This wouldn't be practical trying to get to bathroom at night. Please know the cabin is located next to another home, but we never saw anyone at that home while we were there. It is a very remote location if you want seclusion.”

“Overall, this was a nice place to stay. The lake is very nice and we had access to a beach and a dock. The only thing that we felt was missing was a grill. There was a fire pit outside with a grate held up with bricks, which was what we were told we could use as a bbq grill, but I think we were expecting an actual grill. Still, overall everything was great.”
