The property manager was very responsive and gave us clear instructions for check in. I could tell they would be easy to reach if we needed them. The main issue was the lack of cleanliness. It was very dirty. The shower curtains themselves were stained, there was a large stain on the carpet upstairs, and the shower curtain liners were very gross looking- covered in yellowing, soap scum, and mildew especially at the bottoms. The floors were absolutely filthy, like sticky filthy. It would take a lot of mopping to get them clean, and it seems that hasn’t been done in an extremely long time, much less from the previous stay to our own booking. I used a towel to wipe up a bit of spilled water off the kitchen floor and the towel was completely black when I picked it up afterward. It made me gag. The showers themselves were clearly not cleaned at all or cleaned extremely poorly. I felt so gross having to wash myself in them, from the nasty shower curtain liner to the nasty tub and shower walls themselves. Only one two body sized bath towels were provided for the whole trip. I didn’t find any extras in any cabinets. The baseboards looked super dirty too. There was mold in the keurig water tank and it was missing the filter from the water tank. If you are going to be a short term rental property owner, you should either hire a cleaning staff or THOROUGHLY clean the property yourself between every single booking.
