“Decided to treat myself to an overnight stay in The Empire and what a fabulous experience. I was upgraded on arrival and had a fabulous room with a large bathtub and sea views. The room was very comfortable and the bed was heavenly. Sitting by the pool was a beautiful experience but remember to bring bug spray! Breakfast was fantastic and overall the experience was just wonderful. ”

“This property is so run down physically, pictures on the website are so deceiving. Spring in bed is so bad, wooden floor creaks, you will keep waking up if you are light sleeper with any movement in bed or across the room. The stench from the toilet is awful if you forget to close the door. Hot water runs out, so you better shower fast. Staff are friendly and accommodating though and the breath taking view of the mountain from your room makes the stay here worthwhile. The management needs to...

“Perfect stay in Mt Kinabalu. The house we stayed is cosy and very convenient for visiting the Mt Kinabalu Park as it’s situated inside the park. There is heater in the house which makes is super great in the rainy cold days in the mountain. Facilities are great. There is movie channel for visitors to enjoy !”
